Not a single snake is found in the Indian union territory Lakshadweep. If we talk about the world, Ireland is a country where there is not a single snake. Even in New Zealand, not a single snake has been found till date.

36 islands in Lakshadweep
It is said that there are 36 islands here. But there are only 10 where people have built their houses. It includes beaches like Kavaratti, Kilatan, Minicoy, Chetlat, Kadmat, Agati Beach, Amini, Bitra, Andeh and Kalpani.

According to Pugadundi Safari, Lakshadweep has the status of snake free state. Not only this, it is also a rabies free state. You won't even find dogs here. Even tourists visiting Lakshadweep are not allowed to bring dogs with them.

17 percent of snakes have venom
Statistics of 2022 show that only 20 percent of snakes in India fall under the category of poisonous and less poisonous snakes. There are only four of these poisonous snakes whose bite results in death of 90 percent of people.
