After winning the toss, Uganda invited Papua New Guinea to bat first. Papua New Guinea batted first and scored just 77 runs. Uganda achieved this easy score in just 18.2 overs. This is their first win in the tournament. Earlier they had to face defeat from Oman.

After losing the toss and batting first, Papua New Guinea could only score 77 runs in 19.2 overs. No player could play a good innings. A Wala, who came to open, got out on 0 in 2 balls. Ura could score 1 run in 6 balls. Sese Bau could score 9 runs in 5 balls. Lega Saka and Hiri Hiri got out after scoring 12 and 15 runs respectively.
