T20 World Cup: Host USA's batsmen wreaked havoc, Canada suffered a crushing defeat

New Delhi. Host USA has started the ICC T20 World Cup with a bang. The pair of Andries Gaus and Aaron Jones batted explosively and thrashed the Canadian bowlers. Batting first, the team scored 194 runs for 5 wickets on the basis of half centuries by Navneet Dhaliwal and Nicholas Kirton. The American batsmen proved this score to be small. Both scored half centuries and almost finished the match by making a century partnership. USA achieved the target of victory by losing 3 wickets in 17.4 overs.

Host team USA, which played its first match of ICC T20 World Cup against Canada, made a great start to the tournament. Captain Monank Patel won the toss against Canada and decided to bowl first. Navneet Dhaliwal and Nicholas Kirton scored half centuries to take the team to a score of 194 runs, then it seemed that this target would prove to be difficult for the host team. Steven Taylor got out without opening the account and then captain Monank also got out after scoring just 16 runs. After taking two wickets, Canada was seen playing dominatingly.
