T20 World Cup champion will be rich, ICC has doubled the prize money, know the full prize money

The runner-up team of T20 World Cup 2024 will get $1.28 million. The teams losing in the semi-finals of the tournament will be given $7,87,500. Last time the total prize money was $5.6 million, out of which the winner England got $1.6 million. However, if compared to IPL 2024, the prize money of T20 World Cup is slightly higher. The IPL champion was given a prize money of Rs 20 crore.

The ICC issued a statement saying, 'The winner of the ninth season of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup will get $2.45 million as prize money. This is the highest prize money in the history of the tournament. Apart from this, the trophy will also be given after the final in Barbados on June 29.' Each of the four teams that could not go beyond the Super-8 will be given $3,82,500. Teams from ninth to 12th position will get $2,47,500 and teams from 13th to 20th position will get $2,25,000. The ICC said, 'Each team will get $31,154 for winning each match (except semi-finals and finals).'

This 55-match tournament will be played for 28 days at nine places in America and West Indies. For the first time, 20 teams are participating in it. After playing 40 matches in the first round, the top eight teams will reach the Super Eight. Four of these teams will play the semi-finals.
