New Delhi: Can the court's decision be questioned? This discussion started because two Delhi courts gave important orders on Tuesday. One case was related to the bail of Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia and the other case was related to BJP MP and former President of Indian Wrestling Federation Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Both the cases came up in different courts but whatever the court said, both the parties raised questions on it. Even if it is a case of rejection of Manish Sisodia's bail plea from Delhi High Court, the court refused to grant him bail. However, AAP disagreed with the court's decision. Minister Atishi said that we respectfully disagree with this decision. On the other hand, the hearing of the case of sexual harassment of female wrestlers by BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was held in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. The court framed charges against him but the BJP MP reacted saying he had not confessed to the crime.

Why question the court's comment?

Even though both the cases are different, a new discussion has started regarding the reaction of the accused party. At some places, disagreement is being expressed on the court's decision and at some places, despite the framing of charges, the crime itself is being denied. Both sides refused to accept the court's comments and planned to appeal further. Questions are being raised on these matters whether leaders can question the court order? Know what has happened so far in both the cases.

Danger of tampering with evidence… Why did the High Court not grant bail to Manish Sisodia, 5 big things

Manish Sisodia's bail plea rejected

Aam Aadmi Party has expressed disagreement with the Delhi High Court's decision to reject the bail plea of former Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia. The party termed the alleged liquor scam as a conspiracy of the BJP and said that this conspiracy was hatched to destroy the Aam Aadmi Party. It has also been said that an application for Manish Sisodia's bail will soon be filed in the Supreme Court. The party has expressed hope that just like Arvind Kejriwal got interim bail, we hope that Manish Sisodia will also get justice from the Supreme Court.

I respectfully disagree with the decision – Atishi

After the court's decision, senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi government minister Atishi held a press conference at the party headquarters. He said that Delhi High Court has rejected the bail plea of Manish Sisodia. We respect the High Court, but respectfully disagree with this decision, as this so-called liquor scam is a political conspiracy of the BJP. Which has been prepared to attack and crush the Aam Aadmi Party. When BJP could not defeat Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi and Punjab, this conspiracy was hatched through ED and CBI.

Preparation to challenge the High Court's decision in the Supreme Court

Atishi said that this is a complete political conspiracy and the proof of this is that despite the investigation going on for two years, till now the ED has not been able to recover even a single rupee from any Aam Aadmi Party leader. Atishi said that this entire case has been made on the basis of statements taken under pressure from some accused. Accusing BJP of using PMLA Act and ED as political weapons, he said that the end of BJP is near. The people of the country are going to overthrow the BJP government on June 4 with the power of their votes.

Charges framed against Brij Bhushan in sexual harassment case against female wrestlers

The Magistrate Court of Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday formally framed charges against BJP MP and former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in the case of sexual harassment of women wrestlers. The court framed charges under seven sections, which he refused to accept and claimed to prosecute. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, as WFI chief, had filed an application in the court seeking call detail records (CDR) and travel documents related to his foreign travel. His lawyer said that the accused's argument is that he did not stay in the same hotel with the players during foreign tours. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Priyanka Rajput sought a response from Delhi Police on this and fixed June 1 for hearing in the case. Before this, the court informed Brij Bhushan about the charges framed against him. Charges have been framed against Singh under seven sections of the IPC, including sexual harassment, intimidation and insulting the dignity of women.

If I am not guilty then why should I accept the charges – Brij Bhushan

The former WFI chief pleaded innocent before the court and sought a trial. Brij Bhushan said, “Why should I plead guilty when I am not guilty?” The court informed him that charges of criminal intimidation have been framed against co-accused in the case and former WFI assistant secretary Vinod Tomar. Brij Bhushan, the sitting BJP MP from Kaiserganj in Uttar Pradesh, was not given a ticket to contest the Lok Sabha elections after sexual harassment allegations were levelled against him. The party has fielded his son Karan Bhushan Singh from the seat.

A day earlier, a sessions court of Patiala House Court had deferred its decision till July 27 on the issue of quashing the police report filed in the POCSO case against Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. The court has to decide whether to accept the police report filed to quash the case or not. Additional Sessions Judge Chhabi Kapoor was to pass the order on Monday but like last time, this time too she said that some clarification needs to be sought in the matter.
