Shahid Kapoor, the man who operated on Ranbir Kapoor in 'Animal'
Actually, while making 'Animal', Sandeep Reddy Vanga had an amazing plan in mind. He was planning an epic crossover i.e. Kabir Singh's entry with Rannvijay Singh in a very important scene of 'Animal'. According to a close source associated with this plan, 'Shahid Kapoor's character Kabir Singh's entry was to happen in the post-interval part of the film Animal. Actually, after Rannvijay Singh was admitted to the hospital, the doctor who was chosen to operate on him was Kabir Singh himself. Vanga had planned a great sequence showing both the characters, in which a drunk Kabir successfully operates on the injured Rannvijay.'
Conversation between Kabir Singh and Rannvijay Singh
In the scene set for this sequence, there is a very funny conversation between Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid before being discharged from the hospital. Rannvijay asks- By the way, what is your name? To which Kabir replies- The whole country knows my name Kabir.. Kabir Singh. And you? A worried Rannvijay says- After today, the whole country will know my name too. Rannvijay.. Rannvijay Singh.
Planning a universe with Kabir Singh and Rannvijay Singh
The two bonded well during this time and while parting ways, they promised to reunite for something bigger in the future. The source added, “Celebrating his escape, Rannvijay decided to go home naked and before that, he consumed drugs at the hospital. The entire set-up was ready for the shoot, however, there were some last minute issues with dates and then Shahid couldn't film the sequence.”
Kabir Singh cameo cancelled by Vanga
Sandeep had the option to package this sequence with another cameo in the film but he cancelled it. Some things are destined and perhaps the 'Animal' audience was not destined to see this epic crossover between Rannvijay and Kabir.
