Asthal Bohar Monastery
If you are planning to visit Rohtak, do not forget to visit Asthal Bohar Math. This monastery is located just 7 km from Rohtak on the eastern outskirts of the city. This monastery is an important place for the followers of Guru Gorakhnath, who was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. This monastery was founded by Puran Bhagat, a disciple of Guru Gorakhnath. It remained like this for some time, but later Baba Mastnath renovated it. Today this monastery runs many educational institutions and hospitals.
