Instead of buying houses in the three big metros of the country, people are moving to other cities. According to a report by real estate sector consultant Elrock, people in the country are preferring to buy houses in Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad rather than Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata. According to this report, from January this year till now, residential sales in seven metros of the country have increased by 14 percent.

The special thing here is that there has been a decline in the purchase of houses in cities like Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, which are among the metropolitan cities of the country. At the same time, sales of residential properties have increased in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Real estate consultant Anarock released sales data in the top seven residential markets of the country on Wednesday.

According to these data released by Enrock, residential sales in the top 7 cities of the country increased by 14 percent to 1,30,170 units in the January-March quarter this year, which was 1,13,775 units in the same period a year ago. According to Enrock Chairman Anuj Puri, this quarter has recorded the highest sales so far in the last decade amid the increase in demand for expensive houses priced at Rs 1.5 crore and above.

Residential sales in MMR increased by 24 per cent to 42,920 units during January-March, compared to 34,690 units in the same period a year ago. Residential sales in Pune increased by 15 percent to 22,990 units from 19,920 units.
