Noida: Due to heat, summer vacation declared in schools up to 8th, order issued

The Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration of Uttar Pradesh has announced summer vacation for classes up to class VIII from Monday in view of the scorching heat and heat wave in the National Capital Region (NCR). District Basic Education Officer of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Rahul Panwar said that due to the scorching heat and heat wave, the district administration has given instructions to declare summer vacation in all the schools of the district from May 20.

Action will be taken against schools that do not follow the order
He said that schools from nursery class to eighth class will remain closed during this period. He said that strict action will be taken against school operators who do not follow the order. In such a situation, this order will be strictly implemented in all schools.

School timings changed in Haryana
In view of the heat wave outbreak in Haryana, the state government has instructed all the district deputy commissioners of the state that they can take decisions regarding school holidays at their level before June 1. Despite Sunday being a holiday, these orders were issued by the Directorate of School Education. The average temperature in Haryana on Saturday and Sunday was 46 degrees. The special powers given by the government to the District Deputy Commissioners will remain valid till May 31.

In this regard, all the district education officers of the state have also been informed that they should take daily reports about the children from the school managers of their respective districts and give them to the District Deputy Commissioner. In such a situation, all schools will have to follow the order.
