From June 1, 2024, a fine of Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 will be imposed for driving above the prescribed speed. If a minor is caught driving a vehicle, there is a provision of a fine of Rs 25,000. According to the Ministry of Road and Transport, for issuing learner's license, a fee of Rs 150 will have to be paid along with Form 3. The fee for learner license test or re-test has been kept at Rs 50. The fee for driving test is Rs 300 and the fee for issuing license is Rs 200. The fee for issuing International Driving Permit has been fixed at Rs 1000 and the fee for adding another vehicle to the permit has been fixed at Rs 500. For renewal of old driving license, you will have to pay Rs 200 and if you apply after the last date, you will have to pay Rs 300 + Rs 1,000 additional fee.
