'Munjya' has really rocked the box office. Aditya Sarpotdar's horror-comedy film has done a strong business of Rs 19 crore in the first three days at a sluggish ticket window. This film has been surprising since the first day. While despite the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match on Sunday, there has been no decrease in the earnings of 'Munjya'. In fact, it has earned Rs 50 lakh more on Sunday than on Saturday. At the same time, Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' has also maintained its hold and on the 10th day i.e. Sunday, it has earned the same amount as on Saturday. Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma and Mona Singh starrer 'Munjya' deserves special praise. This is because neither does this film have any special star appeal nor is it a big budget film. But despite this, this offering from the makers of films like 'Stree' and 'Bhediya' is ruling the theaters on the strength of word of mouth. The entire character of ghost 'Munjya' in the movie is created using CGI i.e. Computer Generated Graphics, which is a new thing for Indian cinema.

'Munjya' earned Rs 7.75 crore on Sunday

According to the report of sacnilk, 'Munjya', made under the banner of Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, has made a net collection of Rs 7.75 crore on the third day i.e. Sunday. A day before, on Saturday, it had earned Rs 7.25 crore. On Sunday, along with the cricket match, there was also the swearing-in ceremony of Modi Government 3.0. In such a situation, it was expected that the earnings would fall. But it did not have much effect. On Sunday, an average of 36.64% seats were filled in the shows of 'Munjya'. Especially in the evening shows, 52.23% seats were occupied by the audience. If there was no India-Pakistan cricket match, this film could have earned Rs 9-10 crore.

'Munjya' made in 30 crores earned 19 crores

The budget of 'Munjya' is around 30 crores. It has earned 19 crores in just three days. It is performing well in almost all the circuits of the country. Especially the collections are the best in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh. Being a horror-comedy, this film is suitable for both children and adults. This film also did a business of 4.00 crores on the opening day. This earning was done when the ticket prices were kept low on that day.

'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' also crossed the earning of 30 crores

Meanwhile, sports drama 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' directed by Sharan Sharma has earned Rs 30.05 crore in 10 days. The budget of this film starring Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor is Rs 40 crore. In its second weekend, this film has earned a total of Rs 5.6 crore. On Sunday, the film has earned Rs 2.15 crore, the same as Saturday. The audience occupancy of the film has also been close to 20%.

There is danger from 'Chandu Champion' and 'Kalki 2898 A.D.'!

The release of 'Munjya' has definitely caused a little loss to 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi', but this film is still holding its ground. Both these films have a chance to earn freely till Thursday, because in the next few weeks big films like Kartik Aryan's 'Chandu Champion' and Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898 AD' are going to be released. Obviously this will affect the lifetime collection of 'Munjya' and 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi'.
