Bridgetown (Barbados). The Indian cricket team will take on Afghanistan on Thursday. Both teams will clash in Bridgetown in the Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup 2024. Wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav or leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal may get a chance in this match. Team India's head coach Rahul Dravid hinted at this a day before the match. Dravid says that the conditions in the West Indies seem to be favorable for slow bowlers. India has not given a chance to both spinners in a single match so far in this World Cup.

India relied on their pacers at the Nassau County Stadium in New York as the 'drop-in' pitches there had uneven bounce which helped the fast bowlers. Speaking to the media on the eve of the Super Eight match, Rahul Dravid said, “It is difficult to leave anyone out. The conditions were a bit different for the fast bowlers in New York. We may need to do something different here (in Barbados). Yuji (Yuzvendra Chahal) or Kuldeep (Yadav) can be used here.”

IND vs AFG: Leave him alone… he will be the match winner again, who said this about Kohli before the match against Afghanistan?

Australian legends came out in support of Virat, said- Kohli's magic will be seen in Super 8, Caribbean pitches will be a nightmare for bowlers

He said, 'We are lucky that we have all-rounders. We had eight batsmen, but we also had seven bowling options.' Dravid also said that India will be flexible about its batting order and will change it according to the circumstances. According to Dravid, 'Every situation is different. It cannot be set in stone. I believe in flexibility. In the match against Pakistan, we sent Akshar (Patel) up. Rishabh (Pant) was sent up (at number three), a lot of thought was given to this. I don't think we will have this flexibility in Test (cricket). In T20, you see more flexibility in batting.'

Dravid said that it feels good to be in the West Indies for the Super Eight stage. He said, 'It is good to come to the Caribbean and play cricket. Did some practice sessions. We are ready. Afghanistan is a very dangerous team. Their players play in the league more than our players. They are not a team that can be taken lightly. They deserve to be in the Super Eight.'
