She added 33 runs for the second wicket with S Shubha and shared an 86-run partnership with Jemima Rodrigues. Right-handed batsman Shefali completed her half-century in 66 balls and scored a century in 113 balls. Shefali completed 150 runs in 158 balls. India had scored 606 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the first innings.

In the second innings, Laura Wolvaardt and Sune Luus batted brilliantly for South Africa. Both scored centuries. Laura scored 122 runs. Sune scored 103 runs.
