India registered an easy win in the only Test match played against South Africa (IND w vs SA w) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. They registered a stunning victory against South Africa by 10 wickets.

In the only Test match (IND w vs SA w) played against South Africa at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Shefali Verma batted brilliantly in the first innings. She scored a double century in 194 balls. In which she hit 22 fours and 8 sixes. She scored a century in 113 balls. Shefali along with vice-captain Smriti Mandhana shared a 292-run partnership for the first wicket.

She added 33 runs for the second wicket with S Shubha and shared an 86-run partnership with Jemima Rodrigues. Right-handed batsman Shefali completed her half-century in 66 balls and scored a century in 113 balls. Shefali completed 150 runs in 158 balls. India had scored 606 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the first innings.

In the second innings, Laura Wolvaardt and Sune Luus batted brilliantly for South Africa. Both scored centuries. Laura scored 122 runs. Sune scored 103 runs. Apart from this, no player could play a big innings in the second innings. In this way, South Africa scored 373 runs and gave India a target of 37 runs.

In the second innings for the Indian team, Sneha Rana took 2 wickets, Deepti Sharma took 2, Rajeshwari Gaikwad took 2, Pooja Vastrakar took 1 and Harmanpreet Kaur also took one wicket. Chasing the target, the Indian women's team achieved this score in just one over. Shubha Satish and Shefali, who came to open, led the team to victory without losing any wicket. Satish scored 13 runs, while Shefali played an innings of 24 runs. In this way, India easily won the one-match Test series.
