'The sky will not fall if we respond'
Appearing for Kejriwal, advocate Vivek Jain appeared in the court through video conferencing and said that an application is being filed seeking the application and order passed by the CBI for interrogation. Chaudhary, who appeared for Kejriwal, told the court that we were not given a chance. We are just saying that we want to respond to the demand for remand. The sky will not fall because of this. Chaudhary said that allowing them to take me into custody is allowing them to exercise power under Section 41. He said that due process of law does not deprive me of access to notice or copy or filing a reply before passing any order.

Singh, on behalf of the CBI, said that we should be allowed to do our necessary work and later we can consider whether there was a need to issue a notice under Section 41A of the CrPC or not. However, the court admitted that the CBI will have to justify the arrest.

CBI arrested
CBI opposed the arguments of Kejriwal's lawyers. CBI lawyer DP Singh said that we should be allowed to start our process. We should be given remand and after that we will complete the formalities related to the arrest. We will submit all the applications to them. The court said that CBI's lawyer says that they will keep all the documents and material related to his arrest on record. After that you (Kejriwal) will also be heard. The court allowed CBI to present documents related to the interrogation of Kejriwal and the demand for his arrest in the court.

Manish Sisodia's name also came up in the court
Kejriwal's lawyer told the court that the same arguments were given during Manish Sisodia's bail. A chargesheet has already been filed against Sisodia. If the same evidence is being relied upon, then how can I be arrested?

Kejriwal said- Sisodia and I both are innocent
During this, CM Kejriwal said in the court that CBI is claiming that I have given a statement against Manish Sisodia. This is wrong. I said that Manish Sisodia is innocent, Aam Aadmi Party is innocent and I am also innocent. Kejriwal spoke in the court for about a minute. He said, CBI is planting news in the media that I have put all the blame on Manish Sisodia. I have not given any such statement. They have just arrested me, they will plant similar things for the next three-four days. This should also be taken on record that how this news is being planted in the media and I am being defamed.

'The alcohol policy wasn't my idea'
Kejriwal said that the CBI had only asked about the intention. The liquor policy was introduced to increase revenue. There were long queues at liquor shops. I had given instructions to Sisodia. The CBI had asked whose idea it was to privatise liquor shops, I had said that it was not my idea. The CBI is trying to sensationalise this matter.

'If we read the statement we will get into trouble'
The CBI responded to the allegations made by Kejriwal and his lawyers. The CBI lawyer said that the media is present in the court, it will tell what the truth is. Kejriwal himself has said earlier that the new policy was Sisodia's idea. The court said that Kejriwal did not make any such statement. On this, the CBI lawyer said that if we read that statement, they will get into trouble. The sources did not say anything, we have talked about the facts.
