New Delhi: Expressing apprehension of a 'conspiracy' behind the sudden deterioration of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's health, PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday promised that if the BJP government is formed in the state, the matter will be investigated. Addressing an election rally, Modi said that the question is whether there is any conspiracy behind the deterioration of Naveen Babu's health? The people of Odisha have the right to know this. Is there a hand of that lobby of Odisha behind the scenes which is enjoying power in the name of Naveen Babu? In response to this, Naveen Patnaik said that his health is fine and he has been campaigning for a month. Naveen Patnaik said that he (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) had earlier said publicly that I am his good friend. He just had to call me and ask about my health but the people of BJP are spreading rumors about my health.

The matter of Kanshiram's health had reached the court

Kanshi Ram, the founder of Bahujan Samaj Party and the leader who gave a new direction to Dalit politics, died in the year 2006. However, before Kanshi Ram's death, there was a lot of controversy regarding his health and his stay with the family. The matter had also reached the court. Kanshi Ram's mother had filed a petition demanding permission to meet her ailing son and to provide him with necessary medical facilities. However, Kanshi Ram had given a statement before the High Court-appointed commissioner that he is living in Mayawati's house of his own free will and no one has imprisoned him. Senior advocate Gopal Subramaniam, who appeared in the court on behalf of Kanshi Ram's family, said that Kanshi Ram has been ill since last year. However, he soon reached the Rajya Sabha and the housing crisis was averted. During his tenure as Defence Minister and even after that, the gate of George Fernandes' residence was never closed. He used to say that I do not want anyone to come to meet me and be stopped at the gate. But in June 2010, Jaya Jaitley was standing outside the door and she was stopped from going inside. In 2009, Laila Kabir returned to George's life after 25 years. In the year 2010, Jaya Jaitley went to the court and said that she was not being allowed to meet George. The Supreme Court overturned the decision of the High Court. She was allowed to meet George. George Fernandes died on 29 January 2019 at the age of 88.

Questions on Jayalalitha's death

Many questions were raised regarding the death of former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa. Many shocking things came to light in the report of Justice A Arumugaswamy Commission constituted to investigate Jayalalithaa's death. Jayalalithaa died on the night of 5 December 2016, while according to eyewitnesses, she died a day earlier on 4 December. The day Jayalalithaa was admitted to the hospital, she fainted. Jayalalithaa's close friend Sasikala and others were present there. She was admitted in an unconscious state. According to the report, whatever happened was handled in a very confidential manner. At that time, Jayalalithaa's supporters had alleged a conspiracy behind the death. The debate had escalated so much that the doctor who came from London to treat Jayalalithaa had given clarification about this by holding a press conference.
