Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 A.D.' has brought the age-old epic Mahabharata back into vogue. He has based his futuristic film on the stories of the epic, with Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of the immortal Ashwatthama and by the end of the film, he revealed that Vijay Deverakonda is playing Arjuna, while Prabhas is playing Karna. But there is another character that has intrigued the audience and that is Dulquer Salmaan. There is a lot of speculation on the internet about this role. His character in the film is named Captain who nurtures Prabhas' character Bhairava and teaches him the ways of the dystopian world. But Captain loses Bhairava in gambling and in return has to hand Bhairava over to Kamal Haasan's men. Now, the theory is doing the rounds that Dulquer is playing the role of Lord Parashurama

Has Dulquer Salmaan become Parashuram?

This theory is proven true at the end of the film, when it is revealed that Prabhas is the reincarnation of Karna. Another aspect of the theory is that Lord Parashurama is said to never grow old and always looks the same, the same is reiterated with Dulquer as he looks exactly the same while Bhairava grows up to be a skinny boy when he attacks the Captain.

It is being said that Dulquer will have a bigger role in the second part of the film. The film has earned Rs 149 crore in 2 days at the Indian box office and is expected to cross the Rs 200 crore mark by the end of the day.
