'Kalki 2898 AD' was earlier scheduled to release in theatres on 9 May 2024, but it was postponed. After the trailer release on 10 June, it will hit the theatres on the 27th of this month.

It is being told that the budget of this film is Rs 600 crore. It will be released in Telugu and Hindi languages. Set against the backdrop of Hindu mythology and a dystopian society in the city of Kashi (Varanasi), the film narrates a journey of millennia from the events of the Mahabharata in 3102 BC (the beginning of Kali Yuga) to 2898 AD. The core of the story revolves around the mysterious figure of Kalki, the tenth and final incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu.
