Did being the son of an action director give Sunny Singh any advantage in Bollywood? He said- I will have to give auditions

– There is always a war going on between insiders and outsiders in the industry. Karthik also talked about this. Did you get any benefit from your stunt director father Jai Singh Nijjar?
The advantage is that I am very happy that I am his son and he started his career in a very simple way where he worked as a fighter. Then he worked as an action director which is very difficult. So we have to do a lot for father too. But I knew that I will have to give auditions. If you don't give look test-audition, don't work on your craft, then no filmmaker will take you in the film. If you are working hard on your art then you will become an actor. Here art is everything so it does not matter whose son you are. I myself have struggled a lot. When I worked hard continuously, worked on myself, only then I got roles.

You are seen in the film 'Love Ki Arrange Marriage'. What was going on in your mind when this film came?
Me and its writer Raj Shandilya are friends, so we keep discussing it a lot. When we talked about this film, I was very excited because it has a love triangle which is very funny. Also, it has very brilliant actors like Rajpal Yadav sir, Anu Kapoor ji and Supriya Pathak ji. It is like a dream for all the actors to work with this cast. These people take the level of comedy to a different height. The love triangle shown in the film is very good. I always want to do such films. Also, the story of a single parent has been shown in it. So it has many layers which will be fun to watch on ZEE5.

– What matters the most when you sign a film?
For me, the script is very important. If while reading the script you feel that the audience will like it and the film is also being made in the same style, then it is fine. How the story is written, on what it is based, all these things matter a lot. But as an artist you get excited only when it is written in a good style. That is why the script is very important for me.

– What is your relationship status? Are you dating anyone?
There is no such thing right now. Actually my family members do not put pressure on me to get married. They have always believed that whenever I look for someone, I will do it as per my choice. That is why till date no one has said anything to me. There has been no pressure from friends either.

– What are your upcoming projects?
In the coming days, I will be seen in Risky Romeo. This film is directed by Abir Sengupta. Apart from this, I have worked in Wild Wild Punjab. I have also shot for many films. So, in the coming days, I will be seen in many projects.
