New Delhi. Ruturaj Gaikwad has scored his first century after getting the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2024. This player, who came to bat after losing the toss against Lucknow Super Giants, scored a century and took the team's score to 210 runs for 4 wickets. Chennai Super Kings got their first blow on just the sixth ball. After this, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad held one end till the last over. He was supported by Shivam Dubey who came in the end and scored 66 runs in 27 balls, hitting 7 sixes and 3 fours. Ruturaj returned after scoring 108 not out.

Against Lucknow Super Giants, Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a century in 60 balls, hitting 12 fours and 3 sixes. Thanks to his unbeaten century, he took the team to 210 runs. This is Ruturaj's second century in IPL and first as captain. With this, he also became the first captain to score a century for Chennai Super Kings. Mahendra Singh Dhoni captained the team for a long time and batted in the lower order but could not reach a century.
