Shashank Singh's stormy fifty was the most important in Punjab Kings' record run chase. He played an unbeaten inning of 68 runs on just 28 balls, hitting 8 sixes and 2 fours. During this brilliant innings, Shashank led the team to victory, not only in the tournament but also in T20 history, achieving the biggest target.

Bairstow's explosive century
Prabhasimran, who came to chase the huge score of 262 runs from Kolkata, along with Jonny Bairstow gave a stormy start to the team. Both scored 93 runs in just 6 overs. Prabhasimran played an innings of 54 runs hitting 4 fours and 5 sixes in 20 balls. After his dismissal, Bairstow continued his blast and scored a century. Completed his second century in IPL history by hitting 8 fours and as many sixes in 45 balls.

Kolkata's stormy opening goes waste
After losing the toss against Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders' openers made a strong start and laid the foundation of a big score. Sunil Narine and Phil Salt scored 137 runs for the team in just 10 overs. Both these batsmen scored fifties for the team.
