Horror-comedy film 'Munjya' surprised everyone at the box office on Friday. This film has earned much more than expected. This film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar was expected to earn 1-2 crores on the first day. But it has given a big opportunity to the ticket window to be happy by doing a business of 3.75 crores on the opening day. The interesting thing is that this film has earned almost three times more on Friday than a week old and well-running 'Mr. Mrs. Mahi'. Producers of films like 'Stree' and 'Bhediya' Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik's new offering 'Munjya' is a supernatural horror-comedy. The film stars Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma along with Mona Singh in the lead roles. According to sacnilk, the occupancy of the film on Friday morning was around 11%. The film has benefited from word of mouth, but along with this, low ticket rates have also supported 'Munjya' a lot.

'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' earned 1.30 crores on the 8th day

'Munjya' has earned the most from Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh circuit. Here the film has got a much better audience than films like Rajkumar Rao's 'Shrikant' and 'Mrs. and Mrs. Mahi'. 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' has done a business of Rs 1.30 crore on Friday, the 8th day of its release. The total collection of this film has now become Rs 25.75 crore.

'Munjya' will move ahead based on content, not star appeal!

Considering the sluggish condition of the box office, it is surprising that 'Munjya' earned 3.75 crores on the opening day because the film does not have any special star appeal. Nor has much money been spent on its promotion. This film is completely based on its content. At the box office, 'Munjya' is currently in direct competition with Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi'. This sports drama film is earning well. Especially during the weekend, the earning figures of both will be interesting.

'Munjya' can prove to be a sleeper hit for Bollywood

However, it is also worth noting here that 'Munjya' has benefited from low ticket rates on Friday. Therefore, there is no possibility of a huge jump in earnings on Saturday. But on Sunday, this film can do wonders in the Hindi circuit. This is a film that can be liked by children as well as the elders of the family. Therefore, in the coming time, this film can prove to be a sleeper hit for Bollywood.
