Agniveer: There are many posts of Agniveer in the Indian Army, some of which are as follows:
Agniveer General Duty
Agniveer Technical
Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper
Agniveer Tradesman (8th and 10th pass)
There are different educational qualifications for these posts. Agniveers are selected for four years of service. About 25% of firefighters are given permanent jobs after their service period ends. To become Agniveer, a student must obtain 45% marks in aggregate in 10th/Matriculation class. If your school follows any other grading system, you must score at least 45% marks in aggregate. The age of the candidate should be between 17 and a half years to 21 years. To select Agniveers, there is an online common entrance examination which also includes typing test. After this a recruitment rally is organized, in which the fitness of the body is tested. Once selected, students have to undergo document verification and after that the merit list is prepared.
Technical Entry Scheme (TES)
Candidates can also join Indian Army through technical scheme. This recruitment is conducted twice a year. Only unmarried male candidates can apply for this examination. To enter this, your age should be between 16½ to 19½ years. The student must have passed 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 60% and above marks. Along with this, you must have given JEE (Mains) examination for BE/B.Tech. You can apply for this recruitment only after both these conditions are fulfilled. Candidates will be assessed on the basis of their 12th marks, after which they will have to appear for SSB conducted by the Services Selection Board. After this they will have to give medical test and wait for the merit list. Selected candidates will then pursue BE in the stream of their choice. Enrolled in the course. In the army, they are given a test of 4 years, on completion of which they are appointed to the post of Lieutenant.
Technical Graduate Course (TGC).
TGC is a prestigious program that recruits engineering graduates for commissioned officer roles in the Indian Army. If you have an engineering degree and are looking for a challenging career, TGC is the right choice. Unmarried male engineering graduates eligible for permanent commission in the Indian Army can apply for it. To apply for this, your age should be 20 to 27 years. You can apply by visiting www.join Indianarmy.nic.in. If you are shortlisted, you will have to appear for SSB and medical examination. The candidates who pass it make a place in the merit list and then get recruited in the army.
Judge Advocate General
The Judge Advocate General is responsible for providing legal assistance to the Army in matters relating to law. He exclusively deals with court-martial cases. To become a Judge Advocate General, your age should be 21-27 years and you should be an unmarried man/woman. Along with this, you will have to complete LLB studies with 55% marks. You are or are eligible to be a member of the Bar Council of India. Additionally, the candidate must have the previous year's CLAT PG score (including candidates doing or having done LLM). Shortlisted students appear for SSB interview followed by medical test. Successful candidates make their place in the merit list. Selected candidates are appointed to the post of Lieutenant in the Indian Army.
CDS
Combined Defense Services Examination (CDS) examination is a national level defense entrance examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit officers for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The CDS exam is conducted twice a year, and it is a written examination followed by SSB interview and medical examination. To apply for this, your age should be 20-24 years.
NDA
The National Defense Academy is a joint defense services training institute of the Indian Armed Forces. All military aspirants for the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force are trained here. They all train together here before going to their respective training academies. Only unmarried males between the age of 16½ to 19½ years can apply. He must have passed 12th from a recognized university or board. To come here, candidates have to pass the NDA written examination conducted by UPSC.
Must pass interview of Service Selection Board
After passing the interview round, the candidate also has to pass a medical test.
The final merit list is prepared on the basis of these three rounds. Selected candidates are given training for 3 years.
