Sai Kishore shines in bowling
Earlier, the spinners of Gujarat Titans led by R Sai Kishore destroyed Punjab's batting order and dismissed them for 142 runs. Punjab Kings, who were playing the worst in the powerplay this season, started slowly and scored 45 runs without any loss in 5 overs. After this, Sai Kishore, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed did not allow Punjab's batsmen to play freely. Sai Kishore took 4 wickets for 33 runs while Rashid took one wicket for 15 runs and Ahmed took two wickets for 20 runs.

Prabhsimran was out after scoring 35 runs.
For Punjab, Prabhsimran Singh returned to form by scoring 35 runs in 21 balls. He was out in the sixth over and after that wickets kept falling continuously. After hitting Mohit Sharma for a six over third man, Prabhasimran was caught behind the wicket. The spin trio broke the back of Punjab's batting. Left arm spinner Sai Kishore troubled the opposition batsmen a lot by bringing variety in his pace. Ahmed and Rashid created pressure from the other end. Ahmed gave out LBW to Rilee Rossow (09 runs). Whereas captain Sam Curran became the victim of Rashid after scoring 20 runs in 19 balls. He was surprised when he was given out LBW on DRS.

Harpreet Brar scored 29 runs in 12 balls
His fellow England batsman Liam Livingstone scored six runs in nine balls and was caught by Rahul Tewatia at first slip off Ahmed's ball. Sai Kishore dismissed Jitesh Sharma in the 12th over who scored 13 runs in 12 balls. Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma, who were the best performers for Punjab in this season, also got out cheaply.
