Head scored 89 runs in 32 balls with the help of 11 fours and six sixes, while Abhishek scored 46 runs in just 12 balls with the help of two fours and six sixes. In the presence of these two, Sunrisers completed the fastest century in IPL history in 5 overs and then scored a record 125 runs in the powerplay. Both of them hit 10 sixes and the same number of fours in the first six overs.

Shahbaz Ahmed scored unbeaten 59 runs in 29 balls
Shahbaz Ahmed played an unbeaten inning of 59 runs in 29 balls in the last overs, taking the team to 266 runs, which is the fourth highest score in IPL history. Shahbaz hit two fours and five sixes in his innings and made a partnership of 67 runs in 47 balls with Nitish Kumar Reddy (37 runs in 27 balls) for the fifth wicket. For Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets for 55 runs in four overs while Akshar Patel and Mukesh Kumar took one wicket each. While Akshar spent only 29 runs in four overs, Mukesh spent 57 runs.

Hyderabad had completed 50 runs in 2.4 overs.
Head and Sharma gave a flying start to Sunrisers. In the first over, Head hit a six and two fours against Khalil (51 runs without any success in three overs), while Abhishek ended the over with a four. After this, Head completed his fifty in just 2.4 overs by hitting boundaries against Enrich Norkia and Lalit Yadav (41 runs without success in two overs), and completed his half-century in just 16 balls with a six.

Hyderabad created history in powerplay
From the other end, Abhishek also welcomed Kuldeep in the fifth over with two consecutive sixes and ended the over with a six due to which the team completed the century of runs in just five overs. After hitting four consecutive fours against Mukesh Kumar in the sixth over, Head hit a six on the last ball, thereby setting a record for the team scoring the most runs in the IPL powerplay. In the powerplay, Sunrisers scored 125 runs without any loss. Earlier, the record of most runs in Powerplay was in the name of Kolkata Knight Riders who had scored 105 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2017. After the powerplay, Abhishek continued his aggressive attitude and hit a six against Kuldeep but was caught by Akshar Patel on the second ball of the over and was out. This left-handed bowler gave the second blow to Sunrisers by dismissing Aiden Markram (one run) in the same over.

Kuldeep Yadav brought relief to Delhi
Heinrich Klaasen (15) hit two sixes against Kuldeep as soon as he came to the crease, but this bowler gave relief to the Delhi bowlers by dismissing Head on the last ball of the ninth over. On the first ball of the next over, Akshar bowled Klaasen and gave the team its second success in two balls. After this, Delhi bowlers were successful in controlling the runs to some extent. The pair of Nitish and Shahbaz Ahmed played with caution and sent the bad balls out of the boundary. While Shahbaz hit a six against Khalil, Nitish took the ball of Mukesh Kumar to the audience.

Sunrisers completed 200 runs through sixes
Sunrisers completed 200 runs with a six in the 15th over against Akshar. With this, Shahbaz and Nitish completed half-century partnership in 34 balls. In the 19th over against Khalil Ahmed, Abdul Samad hit one six while Shahbaz Ahmed hit two sixes. Due to which the team crossed the 250-run mark for the third time in the current season. Mukesh ended Samad's 13-run innings in the last over but Shahbaz completed his half-century in 28 balls with two fours. He ended the team's innings by hitting a six on the last ball.
