Born and brought up in Bhopal, Prabhakar Raghavan did his schooling from Campion School. According to the student website of IIT Madras, Prabhakar Raghavan joined IIT Madras to pursue B.Tech and obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1981. Additionally, he completed his PhD in Computer Science from the University of California.
