'Your mother is calling me…' PM Modi called Rishabh Pant and told him it was an accident


New Delhi. Indian cricket team's wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has returned to international cricket after 18 months through the T20 World Cup 2024. Pant was fielded at number three to bat in the World Cup. Where he batted brilliantly. After the road accident, at one time it seemed that Pant's cricket career might be over now. But this cricketer has to be praised for showing great spirit and making a bang comeback. India won the T20 World Cup by defeating South Africa in the final. The world champion player met Prime Minister Narendra Modi after returning home. The PM spoke to all the players one by one. During this, Rishabh Pant thanked PM Modi who called the Indian wicketkeeper's mother in difficult times and inquired about her well-being.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited Indian players to his residence on Thursday. Rishabh Pant told the PM that his mother told him that he had received your call. Thank you for this. Pant said, 'After recovering from the accident, people were saying that they don't know whether he will be able to do wicketkeeping or not.' Pant had scored 171 runs in the World Cup. India had the honour of becoming the world champion for the second time by defeating South Africa by 7 runs on the last ball in the final played in Barbados.

The PM told Pant that I had consulted the doctor whether Pant should be sent out of the country for treatment? But all this was your mother's blessing. During this, Prime Minister Modi said that it seemed as if your mother was assuring me that everything is fine. Pant had a car accident on 30 December 2022 while going from Delhi to Dehradun in which he was badly injured.
