Why is Tirupati famous?

Tirupati is one of the most popular religious cities located in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Tirupati is also known as Tirumala which is very famous for the Sri Venkateswara Temple of Lord Vishnu. This temple is located on the top of Tirumala hill, while the city of Tirupati is built in the foothills. To visit Tirupati Balaji, one has to cross 7 peaks, which are named Saptagiri, but it is said that these are the form of fruits of Adisesha Naga.

IRCTC has planned a 4 nights and 3 days trip to Tirupati Balaji which will pick up passengers from Mumbai on May 29 and will first take them to Tirupati Balaji and then also take them to Kalahasti where they will be taken to visit the Kalahasti Temple and Padmavati Temple.

According to IRCTC, for a 3-day trip to Tirupati Balaji, a passenger will have to pay between Rs 9,050 and Rs 12,100. The passenger fare for double occupancy has been fixed from Rs 7,390 to Rs 10,400 and for triple occupancy from Rs 7,290 to Rs 10,300. If you are taking children aged 5 to 11 years on this trip, then you will have to book for them for Rs 6,500 to Rs 9,500.
