Keeping this in mind, this time also grants have been given to farmers for apple cultivation in 7-10 districts of Bihar.

Apple cultivation started here also
According to agricultural scientists, trees are planted for apple cultivation from November to February. For varieties like Harriman 99 variety, Anna, Michael, Dorset Golden and Tropical Sweets, a temperature of 40 to 50 degrees centigrade is suitable. From this perspective, the months from April to June-July are considered suitable for apple crop. Apple trees blossom after 2 years of planting. Flowers appear in December and January and fruits are ready in May and June.

Government is giving 50 percent subsidy
According to government figures, Jammu and Kashmir is the largest apple producing state in the country. About 70-80 percent of the total apple production occurs here. At the same time, about 20-30 percent apple is cultivated in Himachal Pradesh also. Apple is cultivated on a large scale in places like Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Shopian and Anantnag of Kashmir. At the same time, apple cultivation in Himachal Pradesh is highest in Kotkhai, Jubbal, Chaupal and Rohru of Shimla district after Thanadhar, Kotgarh and Narkanda belt.

Jammu and Kashmir is the largest apple producing state in the country.
