Will Suresh Gopi become a minister?
Actor-turned-politician and newly elected MP from Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency Suresh Gopi said he has no information yet about what role he will be given in the new NDA government. “I am following the orders of my national leaders – my Prime Minister and Home Minister,” he said. Gopi also said, “The celebrations must go on.” “It is a people's festival, so there can't be any hindrances or differences,” the Lok Sabha member said. On Thursday, Gopi had said he did not want to become a minister and only wanted the ministry to implement projects proposed by him for the welfare of the people of Kerala. On Sunday, he reiterated what he had said earlier – he would work as an MP for Kerala and neighbouring Tamil Nadu as well.
