Who will be the candidate of Mahavikas Aghadi on North Mumbai Lok Sabha seat?

Congress has asked Shiv Sena (UBT) to take the Mumbai North constituency in place of Sangli. If the Sena accepts the proposal, the Congress will contest only one of the six seats in Mumbai. Congress candidate Vishal Patil has filed nomination papers as an independent candidate in Sangli. Friday is the last day for filing nominations for the seats which will go to polls in the third phase on May 7 and Sangli is one of them.

Uddhav Thackeray has already declared Chandrahar Patil as his candidate on this seat. Which Congress leaders have also opposed. Uddhav Thackeray decided to stick to contesting on this seat and eventually it was announced that this time the seat would be given to Shiv Sena (UBT).

There are reports that Congress was not keen to contest elections from Mumbai North as it is a BJP stronghold and it does not have any strong candidate to take on the ruling party. However, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Vinod Ghosalkar had started his campaign from North Mumbai seat. But after this seat went to Congress, he also stopped his campaign.

However, now it remains to be seen who will ultimately be the candidate of Mahavikas Aghadi from North Mumbai Lok Sabha seat.
