The Meteorological Department is issuing rain alerts in Delhi-Noida, but there has been no rain for the last two-three days. However, the weather remains pleasant. On the other hand, torrential rains continue in many states. People's problems have increased due to heavy rains. Due to heavy rains, many parts of the country have been flooded, while there is a threat of floods in many places. Due to torrential rains, the water level of rivers has started rising in many states. Around 50 people were rescued while 30 are still stranded at Pali waterfalls in Sattari taluka of Goa on Sunday after the water level suddenly rose due to heavy rains. Superintendent of Police (North) Akshat Kaushal said that rescue operation is going on at the waterfall with the help of firefighters and emergency service personnel. Since it was Sunday, a large number of people gathered at the waterfall in the morning. The official said that the flow of water in the waterfall suddenly increased amid heavy rains. Meanwhile, the water level in the river also started rising and the people present there got trapped in it.

Water level of rivers increased due to heavy rains in UP
With the monsoon becoming fully active in Uttar Pradesh, the water level of the rivers has started rising. 12 people have died in natural disasters. Flood situation has arisen in many areas of Kushinagar, Balrampur and Shravasti districts. An official statement issued by the state government here on Sunday said that 87 people trapped in floods in Shravasti and Kushinagar have been rescued safely by launching a relief operation due to the sudden release of more than five lakh cusecs of water after torrential rains in Nepal. On Sunday, about four hundred people from 18 villages of flood-affected Shravasti district have been shifted to a safe place.

Bihar: Flood threat in West Champaran, Gopalganj
Due to heavy rains in Nepal, the situation in Bihar's West Champaran and Gopalganj districts has become quite worrying. Due to continuous rains, the water level of the river has increased considerably. This has created flood-like conditions. Due to heavy rains in Nepal, the water level of the Narayani river at Devghat has reached 5.71 cusecs, so water is being released from there. This is also affecting the Gandak river. Due to this, the Water Resources Department released 4.28 lakh cusecs of water from the Valmikinagar Gandak Barrage on Saturday night. Due to the rise in water level, water has entered the Valmiki Tiger Reserve.

Flood like situation in many parts of West Bengal
Incessant rains in many parts of sub-Himalayan districts of West Bengal have led to flood-like situation in some low-lying areas, blocking several roads. Jalpaiguri Municipality Chairperson Papiya Pal said several areas in the city were inundated with rainwater, forcing at least 300 families to move to community halls and flood shelters. The weather department said Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar and Alipurduar are likely to receive heavy rains till July 12. The highway connecting north West Bengal with Sikkim has been closed for traffic at some places due to landslides, an official said.
