In such a situation, Bank Sakhi is proving to be very effective in providing banking services to every village. After receiving training from Jharkhand Government and Bank, women are providing banking services in the village. Similarly, Soni Devi, a resident of Joko village of Keredari block, about 45 kilometers from Hazaribagh, is providing banking services in the village. Soni Devi is doing transactions of more than one crore per month.

Soni Devi says that her village is quite remote, due to which there are very few employment opportunities available here. Like all women, she too used to be busy with household chores, but joined JSLPS in the year 2018, after which she got the idea of ​​opening a banking customer service center. For this, initially a loan of Rs 10,000 was also taken from Sakhi Mandal. This customer service center has been opened under Sakshi Livelihood Mission. She earns Rs 25 to 30 thousand every month from the customer service centre. Soni Devi works under the Keredari branch of Bank of India.

People say bank didi
Soni Devi further says that now people have started knowing her as Bank Didi. People of the village and neighboring villages now prefer to come to their service center instead of going to the bank. She operates the service center in the morning and evening. In the afternoon, she brings money from the bank and makes withdrawals from door to door. The distance from the bank to the center is about 10 kilometers.

PM Modi inspiration
Soni Devi says that her source of inspiration is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She has got the benefit of Digital India, through which today she is becoming financially empowered by living in the village. Through the customer service center, it provides other facilities like Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana, old age pension, insurance, widow pension, scholarship, transactions in all banks, Aadhar card, online receipt, residential, birth certificate etc.

Bank also happy with the work
Bank employee Dheeraj Kumar of Bank of India Keredari branch told that Soni Devi has been associated with the bank for 5 years. She is doing better work every month. More than Rs 1 crore transactions take place every month from their centre. It is a matter of great joy that Soni Devi herself is becoming financially strong. Also becoming a source of inspiration for others.
