But now the Indian audience will have to wait longer to watch the film. In the latest social media post of Universal Pictures India, the release date of 'Monkey Man' has been changed and it is written that the film will be released soon. Even on ticketing platforms like BookMyShow, the release date of the film has disappeared.

Since then there is speculation that the film will not be released in India on April 19. A source told Bollywood Hungama that the makers want to release 'Monkey Man' in Indian theaters on April 19 itself, but approval from the Central Board of Film Certification i.e. CBFC is pending.

CBFC board will investigate the level of violence and other scenes

CBFC will give approval only after investigating violence and other things on the board. The source elaborated that if everything goes well, Monkey Man will release on Indian screens on April 19, otherwise it may be delayed till April 26. Apart from Dev Patel, Monkey Man also features talented actors like Sikandar Kher, Shobhita Dhulipala, Vipin Sharma and Sharlto Copley.
