According to reports, Thalapathy Vijay was getting a fee of Rs 200 crore for his previous film. Later, he increased the fee and demanded Rs 250 crore. He also said that he wanted to attach H Vinoth as the director of the film. However, Danayya rejected this demand and he left the film as he felt that H Vinoth was not a brand in South Indian cinema who could ensure good box office returns for a big budget film.
