'Student of the Year 3' will be adorned with new stars, the film gets a new director

Karan Johar gave information about 'Student of the Year 3' at Cinevistar International Film Festival (CIFF) in Chandigarh. Talking about his upcoming project, Karan Johar discussed the web series and revealed that 'Nocturnal Burgers' fame Reema Maya is directing it, reports TOI.

Talking about working with emerging directors and writers, Karan Johar said- Reema Maya will direct the digital version of Student of the Year. But that would be her way and definitely not mine because if I enter Reema Maya's world, I will make it more of an illusion, which is what her name means. I just wanted this to be his voice. He made it his own series.

'Harper's Bazaar' had reported last year that Shanaya Kapoor will debut in films with 'Student of the Year 3'. She will be the lead actress in this film. However, let us tell you that Shanaya was earlier going to debut with Dharma Productions' 'Bedhadak' with Lakshya Lalwani and Gurfateh Pirzada, but it seems that this film has been shelved. Later she was to debut with the Malayalam film 'Vrishabha' starring Mohanlal. Which was also closed.
