Stop this tradition…my credibility is also at stake, why did CJI Chandrachud reprimand the lawyers?

New Delhi : Chief Justice (CJI) DY Chandrachud on Tuesday condemned the practice of mentioning the same case by different lawyers for urgent hearing. The Chief Justice said he would not allow this as it jeopardized his 'own credibility'. Many times, lawyers take risks to get their cases listed for urgent hearing. In such a situation, due to change of lawyer, the same case gets listed again and again on different dates.
