New Delhi: On the second day of the Parliament session, many newly elected MPs took oath as Lok Sabha members. During this, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi was the most discussed. Unlike other MPs, after taking oath, he raised slogans of Jai Bhim, Jai Mim and Jai Palestine. Many MPs objected to his move. Meanwhile, another thing came into discussion that can an MP express faith in another nation? This has been explained in detail in Article 102 (D) of the Constitution. Let us know about it in detail. Will Owaisi's membership be terminated? Know Article 102 (D)
Raising the slogan Jai Palestine inside the House may now cost Owaisi dearly. There is a provision for this in Article 102 (D) of the Constitution.
The membership of a member of Lok Sabha can be terminated if-
(a) if he holds any office of profit under the Government of India or the Government of any State, except such office as may be declared by Parliament by law to be such office which shall not disqualify the holder thereof.
(b) if he is of unsound mind and stands so declared by a competent court.
(c) If he is insolvent and his property has not been settled.
(d) if he is not a citizen of India, or has voluntarily acquired the citizenship of a foreign State, or owes allegiance or faith to a foreign State.
(e) if he has been disqualified under any law made by Parliament.

Advocate Vineet Jindal filed complaint
Advocate Vineet Jindal has filed a complaint before the President of India under Article 103 of the Indian Constitution. It demands disqualification of MP Asaduddin Owaisi under Article 102 (4) for showing his allegiance or commitment to the foreign state “Palestine”. Vineet Jindal wrote from his x handle that the person who refuses to say Bharat Mata Ki Jai says 'Jai Palestine' while taking oath to maintain the Constitution and the integrity of the country in the country's Parliament. This shows that this Owaisi's loyalty is not towards India but towards another country. His Lok Sabha membership should be canceled.

Owaisi's statement was removed from the House
AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi raised slogans of Jai Bhim, followed by Jai Mim, Jai Telangana and Jai Palestine. Seeing the controversy growing, he said that I will continue to raise the issues of the marginalized people of India honestly. After this the Chairman removed it from the record.
