Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma may have made many supernatural hits, but he is an atheist and does not believe in supernatural things. However, an incident happened with him, after which he started believing in the existence of such things in life. In an interview, the filmmaker recalled a conversation with choreographer Shiamak Davar on a flight, in which he told how the choreographer spoke to the spirit of his dead father. Ram Gopal Varma said that this conversation, which happened 15 days after the death of Shiamak Davar's father, had 'disturbed' him. The filmmaker had met Shiamak only once at megastar Amitabh Bachchan's house and he did not know him much. In the flight, Ram Gopal Varma told that Shiamak was sitting somewhere behind him, so he went and sat next to him and both of them started talking. It was a common question, but it was true.

Shyam met Ram Gopal 15 days after his father's death

'My father had passed away 15 days before this meeting. So I said yes to him. Now, he was sitting on the window seat and I was facing the gallery. Then he looked at me for a while and said, he is here with us. I was totally shocked! And he is a choreographer, I expect such questions from a person who does some weird work.'

The filmmaker told Shiamak that he 'doesn't believe it', after which the choreographer again looked at Ram Gopal Varma and said, 'Your father is saying that he too never believed it and he is very upset with you. After this, the question came to my mind that how did he know that my father had died? I had many emotions in my mind. Helplessness, anger, fear. I was very upset with that conversation. I suddenly got up and went back to my seat. And I started thinking, 'How can he know?'
