Pankaj Jha gained a lot of popularity by playing the role of MLA in the web series 'Panchayat'. The way his sharp words and attitude were seen causing trouble for Phulera village in the series. In response to this question, the actor said, 'I have nothing to do with the politics that happens behind my back. The person who does this wins only when it harms me. People who do politics behind someone's back are usually cowards, right? Otherwise, they would have come forward and stood up.'

Pankaj Jha has worked with Anurag Kashyap in the films 'Gulaal' and 'Black Friday'. When asked how the 'Gangs of Wasseypur' incident affected his relationship with the filmmaker, he described himself as an 'actor turned director'. He also called Anurag a 'coward' and 'weak'.
