Lilliput said, 'I was playing cards when I got a call from Subhash Ghai. He called me to meet him in his office. I did not have money to go to Bandra, so one of the people with whom I was playing cards took me there. Subhash ji told me that I am making a film 'Sher Bahadur', and Amitabh Bachchan will be the hero in it and you will be the villain.'

Lilliput further said that at that time he was doing films like 'Shagird', 'Ameer Aadmi' and 'Shararat'. Apart from these, he had also signed some more films. But Subhash Ghai asked Lilliput to leave those films so that he would not have any onscreen image before 'Sher Bahadur'. Lilliput said, 'What was my status? How could I tell those who had shot the film not to release it? Will you loosen my shoes? I left all the films I had signed for 'Sher Bahadur'. But 'Sher Bahadur' was closed and I was left with no work. Amit ji was not well and the film was not made.'

Told Amitabh- don't act with me

Lilliput was supposed to work with Amitabh Bachchan in another film 'Ashiana', but that film too could not be made for some reason. This confused Lilliput and he told Amitabh Bachchan not to try acting with him. But after many years, director Shaad Ali approached him for the film 'Bunty Aur Babli' and told him that Amitabh Bachchan is also in this film.

But Lilliput regretted that he could not work with Amitabh Bachchan in his youth. Otherwise, today he would have been at some other stage of his career.
