New Delhi: ISRO Chairman S. Somnath has advocated building libraries in temples. He said such initiatives will help in bringing youth to temples where they can study, discuss various issues and make careers. Temples should not just be a place where elders come to chant the name of God, but they should become a place to bring change in the society. If the temple management works in this direction, there will be a big change.

Why is a library not made in the temple?

He urged the temple management to work towards attracting youth towards temples. After receiving the award from former ISRO Chairman G Madhavan Nair, S Somnath said that I had expected a large number of youth to come to this award distribution ceremony, but somehow their number is very less.
