He said, 'The British's age-old policy of divide and rule worked because they had a home to return to. But it will not work now. I wonder where those who try to do this today will go after doing it? They should remember that after doing this they will not find any place to return to.'

Kamal Haasan said- one day a Tamil will also rule the country

Kamal Haasan also expressed his desire for the Tamil people to rule the country. He said, 'Every city is your city. Everyone is your relative. We are known for giving life to people who come to our state. Then why shouldn't a day come when a Tamil rules the country? This is my country and we must protect its unity.'

Kamal also praised director Shankar in his speech. He said that usually in South India, if an actor rejects a film once, then no director comes to him again with the film, but Shankar is not one of them. 'Indian 2' is going to be released on 12th July next month.
