JEE Advanced Exam Instructions: What to Bring and What Not to Bring to the Exam Center
- Hard copy of JEE Advanced Admit Card 2024 downloaded from the official website jeeadv.ac.in An original photo ID proof, such as Aadhar Card, School/College/Institute ID Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card or notarized Certificate with photo.
- Apart from this, only pen, pencil, drinking water in transparent bottle are allowed inside the examination hall.
- You cannot carry watches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands or any other electronic gadgets.
- Any type of paper (other than hall ticket), log table, writing pad, scale, eraser, geometry/pencil box, pouch, calculator, pen drive, electronic pen/scanner, wallet, handbag, camera, spectacles or similar Cheese is banned inside the center.
JEE Advanced Dress Code: What to wear and what not to wear
- Amulets/Gandas, metal objects like rings, bracelets, earrings, nose pins, chains/necklaces, pendants, badges, brooches and clothes with big buttons…none of these can be worn in the exam.
- It is advised that candidates should wear open shoes like slippers and sandals at the centre.
JEE Advanced Exam Timings: JEE Advanced Reporting Time
The gates of JEE Advanced exam center will open at 7 am. JEE Advanced Paper 1 exam will start from 9 am and Paper 2 exam will start from 2:30 pm. The gates will be closed at this time. After this, entry will not be allowed under any circumstances. At the same time, one cannot leave the examination hall before 12 noon for Paper 1 and before 5:30 pm for Paper 2.
Apart from the invigilators, representatives of IIT will verify the identity of the candidate at the exam centre. If there is any doubt, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam. However, IIT officials, at their discretion, may provisionally allow a candidate to appear for the exam after completing certain formalities. But the extra time taken for this process will not be credited to the exam.
