New Delhi. Young wicketkeepers Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were left out of the BCCI's list of centrally contracted players for the 2023-24 season. Jay Shah had said in a statement that I have removed these two from the list not by Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer but by Ajit Agarkar himself. A BCCI source has told him a solution by which he can make a comeback in Team India.

A BCCI source said, “BCCI and the national selection committee have no problem with Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan. If they improve their attitude towards domestic cricket and start playing for the state team in the coming season, there will be more chances that Iyer and Kishan will be given a place back in the contract list. After this he will get a chance to play for Team India also. If they perform well. This may be his only hope of getting noticed by the selectors.

Let us tell you that Ishan Kishan was released midway from the South Africa tour last year. Then BCCI had cited the break. After this Ishaan was seen in a party in Dubai. When this player was expected to play Ranji Trophy matches for Jharkhand, he was seen training with Hardik Pandya in Baroda. Currently Ishaan was playing IPL for Mumbai. Now his team is out of the tournament.

After this Shreyas Iyer started suffering from back pain. Shreyas also withdrew his name a day before the Ranji quarter-finals saying that his back pain problem has not yet resolved even though the NCA has declared him fit. Not participating in Ranji also proved costly for Iyer. He is currently playing in IPL for KKR.
