New Delhi. The eliminator match of IPL 2024 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. In this match, Rajasthan registered a spectacular victory by 4 wickets. In this way the Royals have made it to Qualifier 2. Where they will face Sunrisers Hyderabad. Rajasthan won the toss against Bengaluru and decided to bowl first.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, who came to bat first, could score only 172 runs in 20 overs. RCB lost the first wicket of captain Faf du Plessis. He was out after scoring 17 runs on 14 balls. He was caught by Rovman Powell on the ball of Trent Boult. Even Virat Kohli could not do anything amazing in this match. He returned to the pavilion after scoring 33 runs in 24 balls. Virat Kohli was caught out by Yuzvendra Chahal at the hands of Dwayne Ferreira. However, King Kohli has become the first batsman to score 8000 runs in IPL history.

Even the middle order could not do wonders
Cameron Green scored 27 runs on 21 balls. Maxwell was caught out on the very first ball. Rajat Patidar handled the RCB innings and scored 34 runs. Which was the highest score of the team. Whereas, Mahipal Lomror played a quick inning of 32 runs. In this way, RCB team could score only 172 runs in 20 overs. Avesh Khan took 3 wickets while Ashwin got 2 wickets. Sandeep Sharma, Trent Boult and Chahal also took 1 wicket each.

Jaiswal gave a great start

Now it was Rajasthan Royals' turn to chase. Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a great start to the Rajasthan team. He was out after scoring 45 runs in 30 balls. Tom Kohler returned to the pavilion after scoring 20 runs in 25 balls. Captain Sanju Samson also did not bat in the match. He came forward to play a big shot but was stumped by Dinesh Karthik on the ball of Karn Sharma.

Ryan Parag and Hetmyer turned the match

At one time it seemed that Rajasthan team would lose this match. But Ryan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer batted brilliantly and took Rajasthan closer to victory. Ryan Parag scored 36 runs in 26 balls, while Shimron Hetmyer scored 26 runs in 14 balls. In the end Rovman Powell won the match by hitting a six. He scored 16 runs in 8 balls.

Virat's hopes were shattered
