The summer season is in full swing in India. The mercury has crossed 50 degrees Celsius in many cities of North India. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for heat wave. Clear instructions have been given in it that avoid going out between 12 noon and 3 pm. There is a risk of heat wave and dehydration in summer. Heat wave is considered fatal.

Harmful effects of heat wave? IMD According to the WHO, exposure to heat waves can have many adverse effects on the body. It can cause dehydration, muscle cramps, swelling in the body and fainting. Heat can cause symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps and sweating. The body temperature can reach 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) or more. Heat stroke can be fatal, so immediate treatment is necessary.

What precautions should be taken to avoid heat? Avoid going out in the scorching sun, especially between 12 noon and 3 pm. Apart from this, follow the measures given below.
