IGNOU started skill based course for Agniveer, know fees and admission process


IGNOU Agniveer Syllabus: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started a special course for Agniveer. These courses will start from the July session this year. This course is for those who have completed 4 years of Agniveer training. The youth taking admission in this course will also be given training.

All courses will be of 3 years duration
According to Dr. Amit Chaturvedi, Noida Regional Director of IGNOU, all the courses started for fire personnel are of practical skills. Which will help them in developing expertise in a particular field. All the courses will run for three years and their medium will be both Hindi and English. Study material will be available in both print and digital forms.

  • Bachelor of Arts MSME (BAASMSME)
  • Tourism Management (BAASTM)
  • Bachelor of Arts Applied Skills (BAAS)
  • Bachelor of Commerce Applied Skills (BCOMAS)
  • Bachelor of Science Applied Skills (BSCAS)


What is the fees for these courses?

The fees for all the courses started for fire fighters are different. The fees for Bachelor of Arts MSME (BAASMSME) is Rs 5100 per year. The fees for Bachelor of Arts Tourism Management, Bachelor of Arts Applied Skills and Bachelor of Commerce Applied Skills are Rs 4,200. Whereas, the fees for Bachelor of Science Applied Skills (BSCAS) is Rs 5700 per year. Apart from this, candidates will have to pay registration fee and development fee separately.
