The appointment of the president will be done only after the approval of the union
In the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had set a target of winning 370 seats, but could not even reach close to the magical figure of 272. After this, it is believed that now the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh will also pay more attention to the organization and whoever becomes the new president, will do so only with its full consent. Many people who have been ministers in the central government have not got a place in the government this time. It is believed that they can be given the responsibility of the organization. Anurag Thakur, who was the Information and Broadcasting Minister in the previous government, has not been included in the Council of Ministers this time, he can be given a place in the organization. This has given the BJP an opportunity to look inside the party organization. Two names are being speculated for this post – General Secretary Vinod Tawde and Sunil Bansal. Vinod Tawde is from Maharashtra and has been a minister in the state government before joining national politics. Currently, he is the General Secretary in charge of Bihar and has handled many important responsibilities during the Lok Sabha elections. Tawde has gained prominence in a short time by implementing special campaigns and public relations programs run by the party for the beneficiaries.
Sunil Bansal is another leader who came into the limelight by playing a key role as the party's state general secretary (organization) in UP. After UP, Bansal was given national responsibility as general secretary in-charge of West Bengal, Odisha, Telangana. During the Lok Sabha election campaign, Bansal also handled call centers across the country, collected feedback and motivated party workers at the grassroots level. Bansal has won the trust of the BJP's top leadership and is known for carefully handling party affairs. There is also a possibility that the party may retain Nadda as president for some time until the search for a new president is completed.
