'I used to see a shadow…' Ghostly incident happened with Randeep Hooda, dangerous scene seen on the sets of Veer Savarkar

Mumbai: Randeep Hooda, one of the best actors of Bollywood, is enjoying the success of his recently released film 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' these days. Randeep's film was released in theaters on March 22, in which TV actress Ankita Lokhande was also seen with him. The film is getting mixed response from the audience. Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda has shared a scary story related to the shooting of this film. The actor recently recalled a terrifying experience on the film sets, when he was shooting for Kaala Paani. A portion of the film was shot in the colonial-era Cellular Jail in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

While talking to Ranveer Allahabadia in an interview, Randeep Hooda recalled this scary incident and said – 'I started feeling as if Savarkar was the director.' When asked if he ever felt Savarkar's presence on the set, he replied, “Yes, in every frame. There were times when I really felt that way. Sometimes I felt like this, while working, sometimes I would see a shadow of myself and I would think, 'Wow, he looks like Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.'

Randeep also spoke openly about his experience of shooting in Cellular Jail. He said that getting permission to shoot there was a 'difficult task' and the film would not have been made without that location. Randeep said- “I wanted to spend some time alone in Savarkar's room, so I asked to remain locked in it. I was fine for a while, but then, I felt like the walls were falling on me. I started shouting for help, but my voice did not go far. “I became claustrophobic, my breathing started becoming labored.”

When Randeep was asked if he ever spent a night in jail, he also talked openly about it and told that there used to be a 'terrible silence' at that place at night. There was no wind. But the location was never completely closed. All I could understand was that there used to be people here and now they are not there.
