In an interview given to 'Zoom', she said, 'I had also worked with Manmohan Desai in Parvarish. We were shooting together again. I enjoyed working with Neetu Singh in Parvarish, and we played the role of sisters who are thieves. Yes, Vinod Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan were also in it. It was a lot of fun for me.

Shabana Azmi further said, 'Then when I was shooting for another film, Manmohan Desai came to me and told me that he was going to produce a film for the first time and wanted me to be a part of it. I said okay. But he immediately interrupted and said, there is no role for you. But if I do not work in this film, Vinod Khanna will trouble me and ask why he does not have a heroine, while Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor have heroines. So this was the specialty of Manmohan Desai that he used to speak exactly as he was and this is what I liked about him very much.'

The director was shooting two pictures at the same time

Recalling an incident that happened during the shooting of 'Amar Akbar Anthony', Shabana said, 'We were shooting in RK Films, and two shoots were going on simultaneously with the same actor and the same director. That is, Parvarish and Amarta Akbar Anthony. The actors were just changing clothes and going from one set to another. Can you imagine something like this today?'

Neetu and Shabana fell into the well

The actress further said that there was a scene in which Amitabh was putting tape on his reflection in the mirror and he had to do it 14 times by mistake. During the shooting of this, the villain of the film hung her and Neetu Singh above the well. 'We couldn't fall because there were crocodiles there and they could eat our feet. But later we started falling in the water and when we fell, it started stinking because the water was so dirty that when we came out, people had to cover their noses. We were afraid that we might get a skin rash. But it was fun.
